Privacy, explained.

Last updated: October 22, 2026 · Applicora Inc., Ontario, Canada

Picasify keeps your work photos and the details read from them. This page says what we store, what happens to a photo after you upload it, who can see it and how you take everything with you.

What we store

  • Account details: your name, email address and a hashed password.
  • Project information: project names, descriptions, notes and share settings.
  • Optimized images: every upload is re-encoded as a JPEG with a long edge of up to 2400 pixels. We do not keep the original file, so keep your own archive of originals.
  • Captions and extracted text: what you or your contributors type, and what Picasify reads from each photo.

How photos are processed

  • Text recognition (OCR) runs on our servers.
  • Each image is also sent to Anthropic (Claude API) to extract structured fields such as serial numbers, receipt lines and readings. The extracted data is stored with the photo.
  • Model training: Anthropic's commercial terms prohibit it from training models on content sent through its API, and Picasify does not train models on your photos.
  • GPS location metadata is removed from every image when it is uploaded.
  • Extracted text can contain errors. Always check the original image.

Where it is stored

Your photos, extracted text and account data are stored on servers located in Ontario, Canada. For AI extraction and assisted search, relevant images and search queries are sent to Anthropic's API, which may process them outside Canada.

Images you delete are removed from storage within minutes; image storage keeps no older versions. When a trial ends without a plan, public sharing stops and your projects stay available for you to view and export.

Applicora Inc. is a Canadian company and handles personal information under Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA).

Sharing

  • Projects start private. Nothing is shared until you create a link.
  • A share link is a bearer credential: anyone who has it can open the project, unless you add a PIN.
  • Links are read-only by default. You choose whether a link also accepts photo uploads.
  • You can add a PIN or expiry, turn uploads off, or revoke a link at any time.
  • A link can be forwarded, and copies people have already saved can't be recalled.
  • Names entered by contributors are shown with their photos. They are not verified identities.
  • Contributors should add only images they have the right to share. Project owners are responsible for the content they keep.

Report abuse or inappropriate content.

Your data, your exit

  • On every plan, export everything: a ZIP with your images, captions, extracted text and an offline viewer, plus the extracted data as CSV and JSON.
  • Export download links expire after 24 hours.
  • Deleting a project or your account removes access immediately and queues the images for removal from storage.

Staff access

Picasify staff see account and project metadata needed to run the service. Staff open project content only to investigate a report, and that access is logged. Opening a reported link goes through its existing PIN and expiry; staff tools do not bypass them.

Content reports

A report stores a reference to the shared link (not the link itself), the concern you describe and any contact email you choose to give. Your contact details are never shown on the project.

Cookies

Essential cookies only: one keeps you signed in, one protects forms, and one remembers a project PIN you entered correctly. No advertising or analytics trackers.
